For this Tanzania fly safari you will witness the Great Wildebeest Migration crossing the Mara River! Depending on the season, late July and August is the best time for Tanzania fly safari seeing migration at the river Mara. Extend your safari to the far northern Serengeti Plains near the Kenya border, where during the peak migration months (August-October) there is a good chance you may see the Wildebeest and Zebra crossing the Mara River. Fly from Arusha to Kogatende airstrip stay for 2 nights, and then fly back to Arusha. Accommodation is in luxurious permanent or mobile tented camps.
Day 1: Fly Arusha-Kogatende, afternoon game drive
Morning flight from Arusha to Kogatende airstrip (08:00am-11:00am) where your camp driver will pick you up and take you to your selected camp for lunch then proceed with an afternoon game drives until sunset when you will drive to Lemala Kuria Hills Camp (permanent) for dinner and overnight on full board basis.
Day 2: Full day in Northern Serengeti
This day will be spent in Northern Serengeti for morning and afternoon game drives to see the migration. Today you will have morning and afternoon game drives in search of the migration around the Mara River until sunset when you will drive to Lemala Kuria Hills Camp (permanent) for dinner and overnight on full board basis.
Day 3: Serengeti – Arusha, Departure
Early morning game drive, late after breakfast fly Kogatende airstrip to Arusha.
You will have an early morning (sunset) game drive and then fly Kogatende to Arusha (10:00am-12:15pm), you will be met at Arusha airport and transfer to a hotel of your chose or drive direct to Kilimanjaro airport for your flight our where your Tanzania fly safari will end. Breakfast and Lunch included.
